Insurance Agencies and Agents represent and act on behalf of Insurance companies. They are usually well versed and knowledgable in the Insurers products and often receive training by the company.

Certain agencies may represent different companies for different lines of Insurance, but predominantly an agent will represent just one.

All Insurance Agents in the Philippines must be licensed by the Insurance Commission.
